FontShow 2000 is a Photo & Image software developed by Gregory Braun. After our trial and test, the software is proved to be official, secure and free. Here is the official description for FontShow 2000:

FontShow 2000 is a small program useful for viewing and printing the TrueType fonts installed on your system. Options are included to display user-specified sample text in place of the normal font name and alphanumeric character set. The size and face of the Currently selected font can be quickly changed and the result displayed automatically. A printed HardCopy of the currently selected font can also be produced.

The selected font\'s metrics can be viewed in a small font properties window by simply double-clicking on the font name in the pick list. MS Windows stock font objects can also be displayed with this utility, making it handy for programmers and developers.

FontShow 2000 also provides a small window that displays the entire character set for the currently selected font. ASCII codes can be viewed and special characters can be copied to the MS Windows Clipboard.

FontShow 2000 can be configured to optionally place its program icon in the taskbar notification tray. You can run multiple instances of FontShow to easily compare different font choices.

    Replace characters by pictures
Any character can be replaced by any PNG, BMP, GIF, TIF or JPG picture. ALPHA channels are correctly imported.

    Bitmap fonts are full colour
Vector fonts like True Type do not contain any colour information. Bitmap fonts are full colour.

    Bitmap fonts are highly detailed
Complex shapes are difficult to vectorize and expensive to render. Bitmap fonts can handle small Details much more efficiently.

    Bitmap fonts are fast
BluffTitler renders every character of a bitmap font as a single texturemapped rectangle . A vector font, depending on the shape of the character, is built out of hundreds of triangles.

Bitmap fonts are easy to design
If you know how to draw a picture in a paint application you can design your own bitmap font. This is a screenshot of Adobe Photoshop Elements.

    Bitmap fonts are always antialiased
Even on older graphics cards that do not feature good quality hardware antialiasing, bitmap fonts are antialiased because the texture file created by Alphabix is perfectly antialiased.

    Bitmap fonts do not scale
A disadvantage of bitmap fonts is that they do not scale. The edge of a vector font stays razor sharp, no matter how close you zoom in. However, when zooming in on a bitmap font, the individual pixels become visible.

    Export to BluffTitler
Bitmap fonts created by Alphabix can be used by the text and scroller layers of BluffTitler. Press the Select Bitmap Font... button in the font dialog() to select a bitmap font.
